Austin's record-setting success this past season. He knows what it means to be at Georgia Southern, and his familiarity with our culture and expectations is a tremendous asset. We saw firsthand the impact he made during his previous time here, and he continued that growth at SFA as part of a defense that played fast, physical and with great effort."
"I am thrilled to return to Georgia Southern under Coach Helton and Coach Mutz, who I have tremendous respect for," Neupert said. "It is an honor to coach and lead an excellent group of players that I know are hungry to grow as men and compete as athletes. It's exciting to be a part of Georgia Southern's deep traditions and take the field at Paulson Stadium 'One More Time.' "

Neupert joined the Majors after spending one season at Nicholls State. While at Nicholls, he aided the defensive staff with film breakdown and assisted with coaching the defensive backfield unit that led the Southland Conference in interceptions.
