
Camden Brown Named All-American by Phil Steele

Eleven Eagles earn all-conference honors from the publication
STATESBORO - Fresh off a record-breaking season, Georgia Southern senior Camden Brown has been rewarded for his play by being named an honorable mention All-American by Phil Steele Magazine. He becomes the first receiver in the FBS era and just the second receiver in program history to earn All-America honors.
Brown, who transferred in from Auburn, finished the year with 65 catches for a school-record 1,079 yards and a school-record 14 touchdowns. He became the first player in school history to go over 1,000 receiving yards in a season, earning him first-team All-Sun Belt honors and Sun Belt Newcomer of the Year honors, as well. The only other receiver to earn All-America honors in program history was slot back receiver Corey Joyner who earned honorable mention honors from Don Hansen's Football Gazette in 1998. Brown becomes the 92nd Eagle in program history to be named an All-American.
