Butler, from Ft. Wayne, Indiana, was named the Smallbore and Air Rifle Athlete of the Year. It marks the fourth straight year an Eagle has earned the smallbore honor (Erin Ballard, 2022;
Addy Burrow, 2023; Pohlmann, 2024) and the eighth straight year an Eagle has earned an air rifle honore (Rosemary Kramer, 2018 & 2019; Ashley Judson, 2020 [co], 2021 [co] & 2022; Burrow, 2023; Pohlmann, 2024).
The first and second teams are determined by averaging an athlete's three-highest scores in the discipline, regardless of location. The top five averages in the conference are named first team and the next five-highest averages are named second team.
The Athlete of the Year is determined by averaging an athlete's three-highest scores in the discipline from three different locations, along with their score from the SoCon Championship.
The Eagles qualified for the 2025 NCAA Rifle Championships for the first time in program history and will head to Lexington, Kentucky, for the event March 14-15 at Historic Memorial Coliseum on the campus of the University of Kentucky.
