
Louise Reau Shines at NCAA Women’s Golf Regional, Finishes Top-10

Reau is the first Eagle to compete as an individual at NCAA
BERMUDA RUN, N.C. – Georgia Southern women's golf freshman Louise Reau finished inside the top-10 on Wednesday at the NCAA Women's Golf Regionals at the Bermuda Run Country Club.
Reau concluded the season firing a 71-72-68 (211) to place T10 at the NCAA Regional marking the first Eagle to play as an individual in the NCAA Championship. The freshman shot her best round in the final round shooting a 4-under to conclude the tournament at 5-under par. Reau tallied five birdies in the round and was bogey-free on the back nine.
The Beziers, France native opened the first round with two bogeys on the first three holes before recording three birdies for a 1-under front nine and shooting an even par on the back to remain at 1-under.
Round two saw Reau shoot an even par with a bogey on the fifth and birdie on the 17th to even out the scorecard. After two rounds the freshman remained inside the top-20 on the leaderboard.
Reau collected 41 pars over three rounds for the second-most in the field. She finished in the top-10 in par 4 scoring and inside the top-15 in par 5 scoring.
With a season scoring average of 71.88, Reau has set a new program-best scoring average that was previously held by Ella Ofstedahl (73.56) in the 2019-20 season. The freshman set program records in total birdies in a season (119) and rounds of par or better (16). Lastly, Reau has tied the program record in rounds played in a season (32).
Tennessee's Bailey Davis moves on to the NCAA Championship after finishing as the top individual outside of the five advancing teams of the Bermuda Run Regional.
