Sophomore earns pair of conference honors
STATESBORO - Georgia Southern sophomore student-athlete Emma Pohlmann has once again been honored as the SoCon Smallbore and Air Rifle Athlete of the Month for her performances in January, as announced Tuesday by the conference.
Pohlmann capped off the best month of shooting in program history as she set the smallbore and aggregate school records and tied the air rifle school record at Nebraska. She averaged 590.000 in smallbore (592, 590, 588) with the top two performances in program history, averaged 597.333 in air rifle (599, 598, 595) and averaged 1,187.667 in aggregate (1,188, 1,187, 1,187) with the three top aggregate scores in program history.
The Nentershausen, Germany, native earned the same two honors in November.
The sixth-ranked Eagles return to action this Saturday, taking on #12 Navy and the Citadel Women.
