STATESBORO— Georgia Southern placed four student-athletes on the 2024 Volleyball All-District Team, as announced by College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA) this afternoon.

Senior outside hitter Jillian Gray (3.91, management), senior outside hitter Paige Powers (3.90, public health), junior setter Kirsten Barrett (3.84, public health) and sophomore middle blocker Lydia Seymour (4.00, psychology) all received honors.

This is the second time Powers, Gray and Barrett have earned honors while Seymour appears for the first time.

Due to new criteria enacted by the organization, Barrett will advance to national balloting from the College Sports Communicators membership for possible Academic All-America honors. The 2024 Volleyball Academic All-American teams will be announced on Jan. 28 at noon.
