Georgia Southern is coming off an 11th-place finish at The Valspar Collegiate Invitational in a field that had 12 teams ranked in the top-50, according to Golfstat, and six in the top-10. Ben Carr, who will be playing in The Masters at Augusta National next week, tied for second.
Georgia Southern has finished first or second in three of its four tournaments this spring. The Eagles have three team tournament victories to their credit along with two runner-up finishes.
The Eagles are paired with South Carolina and UCF for the first two rounds and will tee off holes 11-13 in an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start Saturday.
Mason Williams makes his 41st start in the lineup and Wilson Andress will make his 34th start. Brantley Baker is in the lineup for the 14th time in his career, and Parker Claxton makes his fifth start. Luke Koenig is in the lineup for the first time.
This is the final event of the regular season for Georgia Southern as the Eagles have three weeks off before competing in the Sun Belt Championship, which is scheduled for April 23-27 at Annandale Golf Club in Jackson, Mississippi.
