Addy Burrow Named All-American By CRCA

Senior picks up three different honors

STATESBORO - Georgia Southern senior Addy Burrow has been named an All-American by the Collegiate Rifle Coaches Associate (CRCA), as announced Thursday by the organization. She becomes just the second All-American in program history.

Burrow was named a second-team All-American in smallbore, a third-team All-American in combined (aggregate) and an honorable mention All-American in air rifle.

The Williamson, Georgia, native was a qualifier for the NCAA Air Rifle Championship and was named the SoCon Smallbore and Air Rifle Athlete of the Year. She finished as the runner-up in air rifle at the SoCon Championships and placed third in smallbore, earning first-team All-SoCon in both disciplines.

The awards are based on season averages, where Burrow averaged a school-record 585.143 in smallbore, including a school-record 589 on Sept. 30 at Morehead State. She averaged 594.00 in air rifle with a career best of 598 on Nov. 12 at Jacksonville State and set a school record with a 1,179 aggregate average. She posted the 14 highest aggregate scores in school history, including a school-record 1,186 on Nov. 12 at Jacksonville State.

Burrow was named the SoCon Air Rifle and Smallbore Shooter of the Months for October, November and January and earned the Smallbore Shooter of the Month award for February. She was also named to the USA Shooting National Development Team in air rifle.

Burrow, who transferred to Georgia Southern this past year after graduating from NC State, will return for her fifth year in 2023-24, utilizing her COVID year.

Rosemary Kramer was a first-team All-American in 2019 in the air rifle discipline.
