Georgia Southern Adds Game at Kansas State to 2027 Slate

Addition wraps up non-conference schedule for that year

STATESBORO - Georgia Southern Director of Athletics Jared Benko announced Tuesday the addition of Kansas State to the 2027 non-conference football slate. The Eagles will travel to Manhattan, Kansas, to take on the Wildcats on Sept. 11, 2027.

Georgia Southern and K-State have never met in football. The only other current Big 12 team Georgia Southern has played was West Virginia in 2015, although the Eagles have future Big 12 member Houston on the books in 2026 (home) and 2027 (road).

This contracted game wraps up the non-conference schedule for 2027, which now looks like this.

Sept. 4 - Samford (Paulson)
Sept. 11 - at Kansas State (Manhattan, Kansas)
Sept. 18 - at Houston (Houston, Texas)
Sept. 25 - Eastern Michigan (Paulson)
