Track and Field Caps Season at Sun Belt Outdoor Championship

Ten of the Eagle student-athletes who competed in the meet were underclassmen.
LAFAYETTE, La. – Senior Scovia Ayikoru took seventh in the 400 hurdles, while freshman Imani Moore posted a pair of 10th-place finishes as the Sun Belt Track and Field Outdoor Championship concluded Saturday at Ragin' Cajun Soccer/Track and Field Stadium.
Ayikoru ran the 400 hurdles in 1:01.09, and Moore placed 10th in the long jump (5.67m) and in the triple jump (11.79m).
Junior Shania Parkinson placed 12th in the shot put (13.95m) and 18th in the hammer throw (44.13m), and senior Isabel Clayton finished 13th in the 5000 (20:24.38).
Sophomore Sam Holbrook finished 17th in the hammer throw with a personal best 45.86m, and sophomore Madicyn Robinson placed 20th in the discus (35.13m) and 23rd in the hammer throw (40.69m)
