
Darrell Baker Jr. Signs Free Agent Deal With Arizona

Cornerback leaves for minicamp in two weeks
STATESBORO - Former Georgia Southern cornerback Darrell Baker Jr. has signed with the Arizona Cardinals as an undrafted free agent following the end of the annual NFL Draft. Baker Jr. will fly out to Arizona on May 12 and participate in Rookie Mini-Camp, which will be held May 13-15.
Baker Jr., from Hephzibah, Georgia, played in 10 games, starting eight last year as a sixth-year player. He played 499 total snaps (478 on defense, 21 on special teams) and had 32 tackles, including two for loss, and a forced fumble. For his career, he had 79 tackles, including 2.5 for loss, three interceptions, 12 pass break-ups and a forced fumble.
"I'm so excited for this opportunity to go out and show what I can do," Baker Jr. said. "It's been a long time coming but this is definitely only the beginning."
