Georgia Southern plays in its final tournament prior to the Sun Belt Championship when the Eagles compete in the Stitch Intercollegiate April 8-9, hosted by NC State at Lonnie Poole Golf Course in Raleigh.
Georgia Southern has finished in the top-5 in four of their last five tournaments, dating back to the fall, and have won two of their last three events. The Eagles are coming off an eighth-place finish at The Hayt March 28 in a field that featured eight teams ranked in the top-50, according to Golfstat. Brantley Baker finished ninth to lead the Eagles, and Mason Williams tied for 10th.
Ben Carr has placed in the top-8 in seven of the eight events he has played in this season, including four top-5s and a victory at the Bank of Tennessee Collegiate. Williams has four top 10s in five events to his credit with a win in the Thomas Sharkey Individual Collegiate.
Georgia Southern has used the same lineup in all four events this spring and that will continue this week. Carr makes his 38th career start in the lineup, Williams makes his 29th and Wilson Andress will make his 22nd appearance in the lineup. Hogan Ingram makes his ninth start and Baker will be in the lineup for the sixth time.
The Eagles are paired with Duke and College of Charleston for the first two rounds Friday and tee off the first hole at 8:30 a.m.
Following the weekend, GS competes in the Sun Belt Championship April 24-27 at Mystic Creek Golf Club in El Dorado, Arkansas.
