NEW ORLEANS – Georgia Southern freshman Sarunchana Rattanasin has been named the Sun Belt Conference Women's Golfer of the Week, the league announced today.

Rattanasin won medalist honors at the Mimosa Hills Intercollegiate for her first career collegiate victory. The freshman matched the school record with a 66 in the first round and shot 66-71-71=208 (-8) for the tournament, rolling in 15 birdies in the event. 

Rattanasin, who earns the honor for the second time this season, ranks fourth in the Sun Belt in scoring average (73.50) and has six top-20 outings, including five top-10s and three top-5s.

The Eagles are set to compete in the Sun Belt Championship April 17-19 at LPGA International in Daytona Beach, Florida.
