STATESBORO - Georgia Southern head football coach Clay Helton officially announced Wednesday the hiring of numerous support staff members who join previously announced coaches and staff in helping run the Eagle program.

"Thank you to President Marrero and Jared Benko for supplying the resources to put together an amazing staff," Helton said. "We were able to strengthen each phase of our organization because of the support given."

This impressive group, many of who have been on campus since the start of the semester, joins an already strong staff put in place and announced in December. Below is a list of the new additions, broken down by area and a short bit of information on each:

Strength & Conditioning:
Chris Aninye (Assistant S&C Coach): Former director of S&C at Alabama State
Sam Medlock (Assistant S&C Coach): Former director of S&C/football at UT-Martin with stops at Cincinnati, Mississippi State, South Alabama and Stetson
Bill Bailey (GA): returning for his second year at GS
Already Announced: Robert Stiner (Head S&C Coach, Football)

Recruiting:
Andrew Bevill (Assistant Director of Player Personnel): moves to recruiting after serving as the special teams analyst in 2021
Robert Connolly (Director of Football Creative Services): previously served with the Creative Services Department in athletics, specializing in video and graphics
Alisa Lamar (Director of Recruiting Operations): moves over from Georgia Southern Sports Properties where she was the Partner Services Coordinator; Previous working stops at Auburn and UAB
Already Announced: Ryan Smith (General Manager)

Graduate Assistants:
Noah Fisher (Offense): former offensive lineman at South Alabama and Tulane; from Decatur, GA
Drew Gaither (Defense): returns for his second year at Georgia Southern as a GA
Kishawn McClain (Offense): Tallied 336 tackles at North Texas; Played in CFL and attended minicamps with the Raiders and Texans; Safeties coach at Denton High
Andrew Neupert (Defense): Former GA at LSU, Tulane and ULM

Analysts:
Cal King (Defense): returns to GS after serving as the defensive GA the past two seasons
Bryan Schor (Offense): Former All-American and national champion QB at JMU who played in the CFL; former GA at ECU
Blake Wilson (Special Teams): Played at Charleston Southern with coaching stops at Lake Erie College and Montana State University-Northern
