The Eagles compete Saturday in Birmingham, Alabama.

STATESBORO – Georgia Southern competes in its final tuneup before the Sun Belt Conference Indoor Championships as the Eagles travel to the Samford Bulldog Invite Saturday at the Birmingham CrossPlex.

The Birmingham CrossPlex will host the Sun Belt Indoor Championships Feb. 21-22, so this meet gives the Eagles a great opportunity to compete in the venue and get a feel for the surface.

The Eagles have had three weeks off since competing in the Brant Tolsma Invitational at Liberty Jan. 21-22. Scovia Ayikoru finished fourth in the 60-meter dash and fourth in the 200. Nichole Harris finished third in the 800-meter run and 10th in the mile. Imani Moore posted eighth-place finishes in the long jump and triple jump, and Sam Holbrook took seventh in the weight throw.
