MOREHEAD, Ky. - The 17th-ranked Georgia Southern rifle squad concluded its opening weekend of the 2022-23 campaign Saturday at the Button Rifle Range on the campus of Morehead State with another strong team performance.

The Eagles posted a 4,652 aggregate, the second-best behind Friday's performance in school history, a 2,305 smallbore (2nd best) and 2,347 air rifle (2nd best).

In smallbore, Addy Burrow once again posted a strong score, following up her school-record 589 from Friday with a 587 on Saturday. Erin Ballard (578) and Amy Visconti (573) followed with top-10 finishes while Kinsley Hannon (567), Ashley Judson (565) and Bella Gamez (562) also added to the team total.

In air rifle, Burrow had four 100 series and posted a 597, the fourth-best score in program history. Judson posted a 586 to finish in the top 10. Ballard and Visconti both posted a 582, followed by Hannon (580) and Gamez (569).

Burrow broke her one-day-old school record with a 1,184 aggregate to take the gold medal on the day. Ballared finished fifth with a 1,160 and Visconti placed eighth with a 1,155.

"There were a lot of things to take away from our matches this weekend, both good and improvements to be made. Obviously, it was a good weekend from a program standpoint with all the broken records and great individual performances. I think this gives us a good starting point to return to Statesboro and build from!"
