JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Scovia Ayikoru broke her own school record in the 400-meter run, and the 4x100 relay team improved the second-fastest time in the school record books as the Georgia Southern track and field team competed in the UNF Invitational, which concluded Friday.
The meet serves as the Eagles' final tune-up for the Sun Belt Championships, which are set for May 13-15 in Mobile, Alabama.
The 4x100 relay team of Camryn Mathis, Zykeria Williams, Aris Hubbard and Ayikoru finished fourth after posting a time of 44.98.
Ayikoru ran a 53.74 in the 400 to finish ninth, and Williams took 12th in the 100-meter hurdles (13.68).
