STATESBORO – Andrei Savrasov collected a career-high 18 points and eight rebounds, and Georgia Southern set a new school record by shooting 72 percent from the field to post a 103-51 men's basketball win over Bob Jones University Tuesday night in Hanner Fieldhouse.

Eagles of the Game
Savrasov was one of five Eagles to score in double figures, and every Eagle who stepped on the floor scored. Prince Toyambi and Tre Cobbs each netted 12 points, while Carlos Curry and Kamari Brown each scored 10. Elijah McCadden led the Eagles with five of the team's 21 assists, Kaden Archie totaled a team-high three steals and Curry led the Eagles with four blocked shots.

Key Moments
Leading 13-12, the Eagles (3-0) used a 20-3 run to take control of the contest. Six different Eagles scored during the stretch, and Savrasov's jumper made the margin 35-17 with 6:51 left in the period. Georgia Southern capped the half with an 18-5 spurt and took a 53-23 cushion into the locker room as the Eagles held the Bruins to 4 of 19 from the floor in the final 14 minutes of the frame.

- Georgia Southern made 44 of 61 from the floor (72.1 percent) to beat the old school record of 70 percent (28 for 40), set against Hardin Simmons March 5, 1987.
- GS made 15 consecutive field goals over a span of 10:56 in the first half, and an Eagle logged an assist on eight of the 15.
- The Eagles shot 76.7 percent (23-30) in the first half, their highest shooting percentage in a half since shooting 77.8 percent (21-27) in the second half in a win over George Mason Nov. 13, 2018, in Hanner Fieldhouse.
- The Eagles' first-half shooting percentage was their highest in the opening period of a game since moving to Division I in 1971.
- It was the TP Toss game - Georgia Southern honored an old tradition by encouraging fans to throw toilet paper on the court after the Eagles' first bucket. Toyambi made a layup off an Archie assist just 15 seconds into the contest.
