BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Mason Williams and Ben Carr each shot a 72, and the Georgia Southern men's golf team finished second at the Graeme McDowell Intercollegiate Wednesday at the at Greystone Country Club.
UAB (-11) shot 4-under today to win its home event, and the Blazers have won all three tournaments they have competed in this season. Georgia Southern (-6) placed second, three strokes ahead of ULM (-3) and five clear of Middle Tennessee State (-1). Coastal Carolina (E) finished fifth.
Williams placed second (-6), the fifth top-10 finish of his collegiate career, and Carr (E) tied for 11th. Colin Bowles (-2) shot 73 today to tie for sixth, and Brett Barron (+3) tied for 24th after posting a 75.
