Montoya Named to First Team All-Sun Belt Squad

NEW ORLEANS, La. – On Tuesday afternoon the Sun Belt Conference office announced the 2020 Women's Soccer All-Sun Belt teams. Forward Marcela Montoya was named to the first team, after finishing third in the conference in goals scored with five.

The senior forward finished the season with five goals and one assist, tallying 15 shots and two game winning goals. Montoya had a breakout season, following two knee injuries and missing nearly two seasons.

With Montoya being named to the 2020 All-Sun Belt First Team, she becomes the first Eagle since 2016 to be honored with the award. Price was named to the First-Team in 2016 marking the last Eagle to be honored with the award.
