Eagles Fall to Coastal on Thursday

STATESBORO, Ga. – On Thursday night, the Eagles hosted Coastal Carolina for the first of two matches against the Chanticleers. Coastal Carolina scored an early goal in the fifth minute, before getting to halftime with a 1-0 advantage. The Eagles fell to 1-6-0 on the season and 1-4-0 in conference play.
Megan Brouse opened up the scoring in the fifth minutes to go up 1-0 at half. With five minutes gone in the second half, Coastal Carolina's Talana Banks added a second for the Chants. Just six minutes later, Brouse added her second goal of the night to put the Chants up 3-0.
The Eagles hit the road this weekend to take on Appalachian State high up on the mountain. Kick off is scheduled for noon on Sunday.
