Nation-wide search for new head coach of the Eagles will begin soon
STATESBORO – Georgia Southern University will not renew the contract of Eagle women's soccer coach Josh Moffet for the 2021 season, as announced Monday by director of athletics Jared Benko.
"I appreciate the effort of Josh and his staff over the past two seasons with our soccer program and want to thank him for leading the Eagles," Benko said. "A national search will begin immediately and we are confident that there will be significant interest in our position."
Moffet won six games in 2018 as the head coach and the Eagles have won three matches this season.
The athletics department will not make further comments on the search for the next head coach until the process is complete.
