Saturday’s Spring Game Set For Paulson Stadium

Gates open at 10 and the action begins at 11 a.m.

STATESBORO, Ga. – An action-packed day begins with the annual Blue vs. White Spring Football game this Saturday, March 9 at Allen E. Paulson Stadium. The 2018 Raycom Media Camellia Bowl Champions will begin their final spring practice at 11 a.m. and are scheduled to scrimmage for a little over an hour. Here are a few things you need to know to get you through the day:

• Admission and parking are free, gates open at 10 a.m., and the scrimmage kicks off at 11 a.m. The team will enter the field and begin stretching at approximately 10:30 a.m. Fans can enter through Gate 12 at the west end of the stadium near the main parking lot behind Bishop Field House, or through Gate 5 by the Cowart Building. The lower portion of north side of the stadium will be the only area open for seating in the stadium to the general public. Concessions will be open throughout the game plus a Georgia Southern merchandise tent will be open for fans to purchase the latest gear. The Southern Pride Marching Band, cheerleaders and GUS will be also be in attendance adding to excitement of the day.

• Fans will also have the opportunity to purchase season tickets at the Athletic Ticketing kiosk on the north concourse. Fans can purchase season tickets, which start as low as $80.

• Georgia Southern inflatables will also be available on the Field of Dreams. Kids can race through one of two obstacle courses. They can improve their quarterback skills on the football toss game, too. 
 
• The Stadium Bookstore on the north side will also be open from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. so fans can stock up on the adidas gear.
 
• Fans can come and check out the Club Level at Paulson Stadium! Athletic Foundation representative Adrian Bowen will be on hand to answer any questions about Club Level's game day experience and help preorder tickets. 
 
• During halftime of the game, head coach Chad Lunsford will be presenting the 2018 seniors with their championship rings from the 2018 Raycom Media Camellia Bowl.

• Following the Spring Game, all fans are encouraged to stick around for a 45-minute autograph session with the players and head coach Chad Lunsford. Fans can grab an autograph card to get signed, or bring their own items to have autographed. For more information, click here.
 
• Back by popular demand, the cannon from the Georgia Army National Guard will return to Paulson Stadium. Fans may grab pictures with the cannon and members of the Guard during the autograph session.

• Georgia Southern Athletics has partnered with International Diamond Center (IDC) to host a "True Blue Saturday" for the Eagle athletic events held on Saturday, March 9. Fans that three of the four scheduled home events (football, softball, baseball and basketball) on that day will be entered into a drawing for multiple $200 gift cards from IDC.
