Fans who attend at least three events will be entered to win a great prize from IDC on this busy day for #EagleNation
STATESBORO, Ga. - Eagle Nation is gearing up for a packed weekend of home athletics events March 8-10 on the Statesboro Campus. The busiest and most action-packed day is this Saturday, March 9. The day begins at 11 a.m. at Allen E. Paulson Stadium with the annual Blue vs. White Spring Football game, followed by the newly added softball game versus Appalachian State at 1 p.m., then Eagle baseball taking on UNC Asheville at 2 p.m., and the day is capped off with men's basketball hosting rival Georgia State at Hanner Fieldhouse at 5 p.m.
With such a momentous day, Georgia Southern Athletics has partnered with International Diamond Center (IDC) to host a "True Blue Saturday" for the Eagle athletic events held this Saturday. Fans who attend at least three of the events on that day will be entered into a drawing for multiple $200 gift cards from IDC.
Fans will be able to pick up a punch card at the Blue vs. White Spring Football game on the North Concourse near Gate 12 inside Paulson Stadium or at the marketing table next to the stands at Eagle Softball Field and receive the first punch of the day. No entry fee is required for these contests.
An third punch location will be inside J.I. Clements Stadium at the marketing table as baseball faces off against UNC Asheville. A dropbox to place cards will also be located at the marketing table for those who attend the Spring Football Game, the softball game and the baseball game, in that order. Winners will be drawn and announced at the baseball game from the participants of the first three games of the day. Potential winners must be present at the baseball game to claim prize.
The final punch and dropbox will be inside Hanner Fieldhouse at the main entrance as the men's basketball team takes on Georgia State in a game with huge postseason implications. Cards can be placed in a drop box for the drawing for those who attend two of the first three contests of the day. Additional winners of the drawing will be announced during the basketball game. Potential winners must be present to claim prize.
Tickets for the baseball and basketball games can be purchased at GSEagles.com/Tickets. There are only a limited number of tickets remaining for the basketball game. Georgia Southern students who have paid their athletic fees and have a valid Eagle ID receive free admission, but with limited seats available for the basketball game, they are encouraged to arrive early.
Fans are also encouraged to take selfies throughout the day at the events and share them on social media with the hashtag #TrueBlueSaturday.
