Muniz earns seventh straight win in singles
STATESBORO, Ga - Stetson University defeated the Georgia Southern men's tennis team 6-1 on Friday afternoon in Statesboro at the Wallis Tennis Center. The Eagles move to 5-3 on the 2019 season.
Antonio Muniz fought hard at number one singles and was able to pull in the Eagle's lone point of the match against the Stetson Hatters. Muniz competed against Clement Hamel and was able to take the set, 6-4, 6-3. This win over Hamel was Muniz's seventh straight win in the 2019 season, putting him 7-1 at singles for the Eagles.
The Hatters earned the doubles point by winning two doubles matches to take a 1-0 lead over the Eagles early on. Carlos Garcia and Pascal Wagemaker match against. Clement Hamel and Coilin MacNamara was left unfinished.
