SCORECARD

CHARLESTON, S.C. - Courtney Weekley and Rosemary Kramer went 1-2 as the Georgia Southern rifle team posted a 59-point improvement from a week ago in taking three of four matchups Saturday at the Inouye Marksmanship Center at The Citadel. The Eagles bested VMI, VMI Women and The Citadel Women, but fell to The Citadel for the second week in a row.

Weekley posted a 578 in smallbore, the second-best total in program history and followed that up with a 583 in air rifle to record a match-best 1,161. Kramer placed first in air rifle with a 593 and third in smallbore with a 564 to post a 1,157. Freshman Rachel Gray finished 10th with a 1,116 aggregate.

As a team, the Eagles posted a 2,327 in air rifle, the best score of the day.  The team also improved its smallbore score from a week ago to account for the marked improvement.

"I'm so proud of the team. They worked hard and they worked smart. They also put in a lot of time on the range practicing during the week and it really showed up in the scores today. We will keep on this track and look forward to the good things to come. They showed today that hard work pays off, and I'm proud of them for committing to the grueling schedule it takes to get better."
