Brown Hits 2,000, Men’s Basketball Blisters the Nets for a 90-82 win at Troy

TROY, Ala. – Tookie Brown tallied 19 points and five assists, and Georgia Southern shot 61 percent from the floor to earn a 90-82 Sun Belt men's basketball win over Troy Thursday night in Trojan Arena.
Already Georgia Southern's Division I career scoring leader, Brown surpassed 2,000 career points with a 3-pointer from the top of the key 1:46 into the contest. The senior made his first five shots, including a pair of 3-pointers, and scored 11 of the Eagles' first 22 points of the contest.
Eagles of the Game
Seven Eagles found double figures in the scoring column. Quan Jackson finished with 13 points, eight rebounds and four assists, and Montae Glenn posted 11 points and eight rebounds, leaving him two boards shy of 600 for his career. David-Lee Jones Jr. scored 11, while Isaiah Crawley, Simeon Carter and Elijah McCadden all scored 10.

The Eagles (11-7, 3-2) used a 15-2 second-half run to take control of the game as their extended pressure defense forced six Troy (9-8, 2-3) turnovers in a span of 4:05.
