The Eagles host the Schenkel Invitational at Forest Heights Country Club this weekend.
NEW ORLEANS - Georgia Southern senior Jake Storey has been named the Sun Belt Conference Men's Golfer of the Week, the league announced today.
Storey tied for first at the Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate March 6 after shooting 69-69-69=207 (-3). It was the fifth top-5 outing of his career, his second tie for first this spring and his fifth top-20 this season. The senior's 69 in the final round tied for the lowest of the day with classmate Archer Price and helped the Eagles move up five spots and finish second in the 18-team field.
Storey and the Eagles are back in action when they host the 39th annual Schenkel Invitational at Forest Heights Country Club this weekend. The first round begins Friday at 9 a.m.
