OXFORD, Miss. - The Georgia Southern rifle squad posted season highs in both air rifle and aggregate as it took on No. 5 Murray State and UAB in a tri-match Friday at Patricia C. Lamar National Guard Readiness Center on the campus of Ole Miss.

Weekley and Kramer set the tone in the first relay, posting top-10 scores in program history. Weekley's 567 is the eighth best while Kramer's 566 is tied for the ninth best. Kramer's 585 in air rifle is tied for the second best in program history and her 1,157 aggregate is third best. Weekley put up a 1,149 aggregate, which is tied for the ninth best in program history. Freshman Rachel Gray posted a 1,111 aggregate to help propel the first relay.

In the second relay, freshman Emily Christopoul recorded career highs in both disciplines, as well as the aggregate (521-562-1,083).  Caroline Brakeville recorded a 494-578-1,072 in her collegiate debut. Lydia Odlin posted a season high in air rifle with a 573 en route to a 1,107 aggregate.

"This match was the second in a sequence that was designed to identify where we are improving and where we have areas for improvement. It was a good test because they had two days off after the last match and then we left on Thursday for this match. Our training objectives have been made clear, and we are happy to have the time to dig into our to-do list before the next match. The team performed very well and we're particularly resilient about the inevitable curve ball that always seem to come flying at our heads."
