Eagle Rifle Set to Host The Citadel

First home match of the season on tap for the Eagles

STATESBORO - The Georgia Southern rifle squad will host its first home match of the season on Saturday, welcoming The Citadel to the Shooting Sports Education Center for a tri-match. Action begins at 8 a.m. with the squads participating in both the USA Shooting 60-shot 3x20 small bore and 60-shot air rifle disciplines.
The Eagles, ranked 22nd in the country downed both The Citadel and The Citadel Women last weekend in Charleston, posting a season-high 4,566 aggregate. Senior Rosemary Kramer set school record in small bore, air rifle and aggregate to lead the way.
The Citadel fell one spot back to 24th while the women's squad is ranked 30th. GS downed the Bulldogs co-ed squad by 37 points and the women's team by over 1,500.
Fans attending the match, which is free to the public, are encouraged to dress up in their Halloween costumes to help celebrate the occasion with the competitors.
