Rifle Heads to Charleston For Next Event

Matches against The Citadel and No. 4 TCU on tap Saturday
SCHEDULE
STATESBORO - The Georgia Southern rifle squad returns to action on Saturday taking on fourth-ranked TCU, The Citadel and The Citadel Women at the Inouye Marksmanship Center in Charleston, South Carolina. Action begins at 8 a.m. with the squads participating in both the USA Shooting 60-shot 3x20 small bore and 60-shot air rifle disciplines.
The fourth-ranked TCU rifle team (3-0) has downed UTEP and The Coast Guard, topping out with a 4,708 aggregate in the opener.
Georgia Southern (0-4) sits at No. 22 nationally after recording a 4,530 aggregate in its last match. The Citadel sits one spot back in No. 23 after a 4,525 in its last match and the women's squad is ranked 30th with a 4,115 aggregate.
Some of the Eagles' best results all-time have come in Charleston as the school record in team small bore, air rifle and aggregate were all set there on Oct. 28 of last year. Additionally, the school record for small bore was set by Courtney Weekley there on Nov. 11 of last year with a 575 and the school record for aggregate was set by Rosemary Kramer there on Oct. 28, 2017 with a 1,164.
