Georgia Southern opens its Sun Belt schedule by playing host to Louisiana and ULM this weekend in Hanner Fieldhouse. It's the first time the Eagles have played in Hanner since Sept. 2 after having three matches canceled because of Hurricane Irma.

It's the only matches against the Sun Belt's Louisiana schools this season. GS played both on the road in 2016, topping Louisiana 3-2 but falling 3-0 at ULM.

Georgia Southern is coming off an 0-3 record at the Clemson Challenge where GS fell 3-0 to South Carolina and Texas Tech and 3-1 to Clemson.

Cathrine Murray was named All-Tournament at the Clemson Challenge. The senior has 840 kills and is 136 away from cracking the top-10 on the school's career chart.

Senior Megan Chevalier has 650 career kills, and classmate Anna Wenger has 616.

Freshman Skylar Ball was named to the all-tournament team at the Bash in the Boro after tallying 19 kills and 10 blocks in the three matches.

Following the weekend, Georgia Southern plays host to South Carolina State Tuesday before heading on the road to take on Sun Belt Eastern Division opponents Troy and South Alabama next Friday and Saturday.
