AIKEN, S.C. – Brett Barron and Steven Fisk each carded 68s today, and three Georgia Southern men's golfers are in the top-25 after the first two rounds of the Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate Monday at the Palmetto Golf Club.
Georgia Southern (+8) shot two strokes better in the second round (283) than in the first and sits in sixth place, two strokes away from South Carolina (+6) in fourth and 10 strokes back of Augusta (-2) in third. Coastal Carolina (+9) and Chattanooga (+10) are just behind the Eagles. Third-ranked Virginia (-17) leads the field, followed by 16th-ranked Clemson (-14).
Fisk (75-68=143, +3) and Archer Price (71-72=143, +3) are tied for 22nd, and Jake Storey (72-72=144, +4) is tied for 28th. O'Toole shot 74-71=145, and Barron carded 68-78=146.

The Eagles rank third in the tournament in par-5 scoring at 11-under and posted 30 birdies, which ranks sixth.

Fisk played the final eight holes of the day 2-under with birdies on holes 14 and 18 and pars on the rest. O'Toole posted an Eagle on the 338-yard, par-4 15th hole as the senior shot 33 on the back nine. It was one of just 11 eagles on the day.
After a bogey on hole 5, his first of the round, Price played his next 15 holes 2-under, and Storey started off the round with four straight pars and scored par or better on seven straight holes, including a birdie on the 550-yard, par-5 14th.

Barron led the team with five birdies in the round and played 11 straight holes clean with four birdies. The freshman posted a 33 on the back nine and birdied his final hole to notch a team-best 68.
Price played his final 15 holes 1-under with birdies on holes 8, 9 and 1, and Storey birdied holes 13, 14 and 18 to score a 35 on the back nine.
