Coming off a second-place outing at the Schenkel Invitational last weekend, Georgia Southern has a quick turnaround and travels to the Furman Intercollegiate this weekend.
The Eagles finished ahead of five top-50 teams at their home tournament, including No. 2 Vanderbilt. Georgia Southern will use the same lineup, and Crawford Simmons will play as an individual.
Steven Fisk (-5) tied for eighth place to lead the Eagles, Archer Price (-4) tied for 14th and Brett Barron (-3) tied for 15th. Jake Storey (+2) tied for 29th and Simmons (+3) tied for 34th.
Fisk, Price, Storey and Barron have played in all eight tournaments this season. O'Toole is making his sixth start of the year, and Simmons will play in his third tournament.
"It's a quick turnaround, and it's important to take the confidence and all the great things we learned from last week and put them to work this upcoming week," said GS coach Carter Collins. "The field is good and tough, and it's a course we've never played. So it's another challenge we're looking forward to."
The Eagles are paired with James Madison and Akron in the first round Friday and will tee off hole 10 at 9:40 a.m.
Following the tournament at Furman, Georgia Southern has its final tune-up before the Sun Belt Championship at the Gary Koch Invitational April 10-11.
