How To: Participate in Pregame
9/7/2015 5:13:00 PM | Football
First in a series to get you ready for Saturday
In a series of "how tos" leading up to the first home game of the season, we explain how fans can participate in all of the pre-game activities, helping to make Paulson Stadium an intimidating environment for Western Michigan.
Rule #1: GET IN YOUR SEATS EARLY. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. and we need you in your seats and making noise when the team takes the field, if not earlier. Come early, tailgate and enjoy a September day in Statesboro.
Rule #2: WEAR BLUE! It's Paint the Town Blue Week in Statesboro and we need a sea of blue sweeping over Paulson Stadium to show everyone what Eagle Nation is all about.
Paulson Stadium gates open ninety (90) minutes prior to kickoff, so for Saturday, that's 4:30 p.m.
Here's a list of all the pregame activities going on, so you can enjoy them all.
Bishop Fieldhouse Social
Starting at 3:30 p.m., $1,200+ donors with season tickets are invited to Bishop Fieldhouse for a pregame social. Those eligible will receive one pass per person for each season ticket purchased. The social will end one hour before kickoff. Because of the increase in donors at this level, there will be a second serving area outside in the Bishop Courtyard area. All local alcohol laws will be in effect and each person will need to show their ID (21+ to drink) to get a wrist band at the tent outside Bishop and then each pass will be hole punched at the door. There will be no re-entry.
EAGLE WALK - 4:15 p.m.
Fans encouraged to form a tunnel at the soccer stadium and Welcome Coach Fritz and team into the stadium.
PREGAME SIDELINE PASS
At 5 p.m., donors who signed up for the Pregame Sideline Pass* will make their way to the field. (Sign in begins at 4:45 in front of the Bishop Field House)
*The Pregame Sideline Pass is available to donors, Bronze Eagle and above. Learn more about the opportunity online. Registration ends Wednesday, Sept. 9. For more info, click here.
