
Coach Fritz Named a Rising Star of College Football

STATESBORO, Ga. – Georgia Southern Head Football Coach Willie Fritz was named to Athlon Sports' 15 College Football Coaches on the Rise for 2015 after leading the Eagles to a Sun Belt Conference Championship in their first year in the FBS.
The article complemented Fritz on not only a successful first season at the helm of the program but for also leading the Eagles to a 9-3 overall record and a perfect 8-0 Sun Belt mark in their first season since transitioning from the FCS.
Fritz was joined on the list by fellow Sun Belt coaches Mark Hudspeth (Louisiana) and Scott Satterfield (Appalachian St.) and 2015 opponent P.J. Fleck of Western Michigan.
