Fisk Named Sun Belt Men’s Golf Student-Athlete of the Month

The freshman recorded four top-10 finishes in five events in the fall.
NEW ORLEANS – Georgia Southern's Steven Fisk has been named the Sun Belt Conference men's golf Student-Athlete of the Month, the league announced today.
Fisk posted two top-10 finishes, giving him four in five events this season. The freshman averaged 71.00 strokes per round and shot par or better in three of five rounds. He carded a 66 in the second round of the Camden Collegiate Invitational en route to tying for 10th and shot 72-68=140 in a weather-shortened Kiawah Classic to tie for fourth at 4-under-par.
The Eagles won their first event of the season and placed second in the next two tournaments before capping the fall by placing sixth of 22 teams at the Kiawah Classic by Aramark Tuesday. Georgia Southern opens the spring campaign at the Gator Invitational in Gainesville, Fla., Feb. 20-21.
