Kourtny Thomas led the Eagle offense this week with a .467 average and nine RBIs. The senior shortstop earned four walks on the week after smashing a pair of home runs. She finished the week with a .867 slugging percentage and a .579 on base mark, leading the Eagles to a league sweep over Elon.

Sarah Purvis went 2-1 last week, earning the decision in all three appearances. The senior struck out 10 batters in a loss to Mercer in the midweek allowing four runs off three hits. In the series opener against Elon, Purvis allowed three runs off three hits and matched her career high with 12 strikeouts to pick up the win. On Sunday she got the start again, going four innings on her 22nd birthday and earning the win over the Phoenix. She struck out seven and allowed just one run in that win.
