- Georgia Southern travels to Elon for the final time in SoCon play on Saturday evening for the final regular season SoCon game for the Eagles in the Tar Heel State.
- Jelani Hewitt enters UNCG game as the No. 1 ranked scorer in the Southern Conference with 20.3 ppg and ranks 19th in scoring nationwide ... He scored 38 points earlier this season against Campbell and has twice been named SoCon Player of the Week ... He has scored in double figures 23 of 24 games this season and has gone over 20 points in scoring for 14 of the 24 games this year ... Hewitt became the 40th member of the 1,000 point club at GS with 18 against Wofford ... Hewitt now has 1,095 career points to rank 33rd in scoring all-time at GS.
