
Wolfes Named SoCon Golfer of the Week

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Georgia Southern's Scott Wolfes has been named the Southern Conference Golfer of the Week, the league announced today.
Wolfes tied for sixth in the Eagles' opening tournament of the spring, the SunTrust Gator Invitational in Gainesville, Fla. The junior shot a 2-over 212 in the three-round tournament, highlighted by a 3-under 67 in the final round, for a 70.67 stroke average. The top-10 finish was Wolfes' third of the season and 12th of his career.
Georgia Southern tied for seventh out of 14 teams in a tough field that included eight top-50 teams and seven top-50 individuals.
The Eagles will return to action March 3-4 at the Samford Intercollegiate in Hoover, Ala.
