Coley Named Volleyball Academic All-District

STATESBORO, Ga. – Kym Coley has been named to the Capital One Volleyball Academic All-District Team by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), it was announced today.
Coley now advances to the national ballot for Academic All-America honors, which will be announced in December. She is the first Georgia Southern volleyball student-athlete named Academic All-District since Moriah Bellissimo in 2012.
Coley, who carries a 4.0 grade point average in biology, ranks third in the Sun Belt in hitting percentage (.382) and is averaging 2.85 kills and 0.80 blocks per set this season. The senior has reached double-figure kills in 14 matches this year and has 842 career kills and 277 blocks in 99 matches.
Coley was a 2013 All-Southern Conference selection and was named to the SoCon All-Tournament Team in 2012 and 2013. She is a two-time SoCon All-Academic selection and earned SoCon Academic Honor Roll accolades three times.
