STATESBORO, Ga. – The Georgia Southern volleyball team will hold its annual Dig Pink Match Oct. 21, when the Eagles play host to Savannah State in Hanner Fieldhouse. First serve is set for 6 p.m.
The Zeta Tau Alpha sorority has partnered with Georgia Southern Athletics to raise awareness and funds for the fight against breast cancer. Pink Georgia Southern wristbands are available for $5 from the Georgia Southern Athletic Marketing Office. Proceeds will benefit the Side-Out Foundation, which in turn awards grants to medical research organizations and entities dedicated to providing patient services to breast cancer patients and their families. Fans can also donate online to Georgia Southern's Dig Pink event.
The Eagles are coming off a 1-1 week in Sun Belt Conference action and play host to UL Monroe and UL Lafayette in Hanner Fieldhouse this Friday (6 p.m.) and Sunday (noon).
