Jennifer Wittick Named SoCon Women’s Soccer Player of the Week

Freshman scored twice in last week’s home opener
STATESBORO, GA. – Jennifer Wittick's two goals in last week's home opener against Stetson earned her SoCon Women's Soccer Player of the Week honors.
Wittick, a freshman, scored the first two goals of her career last week, netting both Eagle goals in a 2-1 win over Stetson on Friday.
The rookie from Downingtown, Penn., got on the scoreboard in the 16th minute against the Hatters, then doubled the Eagles' lead less than seven minutes later with what would prove to be the game-winning goal.
The win was Georgia Southern's first of the season and handed head coach Brian Dunleavy his first at the helm for the Eagles.
The Eagles return to action on Friday against Jacksonville at Eagle Field. The match can be seen live on GS All-Access from GSEagles.com.
