Recent Graduates Can Join Young Alumni Program

STATESBORO, Ga. – Georgia Southern Alumni who graduated in December 2012, or May 2013, can join the Young Alumni Program by making a $30 donation to the Georgia Southern University Athletic Foundation. The donations will be recognized at the True Blue level within the Eagle Fund. The Young Alumni Program offers numerous benefits and is based off of the accumulation of priority points for future ticket distribution.
The first year membership is a joint membership with the Alumni Foundation. Alumni who graduated in December 2012 or May 2013 can join by making $30 donation before August 1, 2013. With this donation, members will receive general admission tickets to men’s and women’s basketball, volleyball and baseball home games as well as a number of football games, and also have the opportunity to purchase a parking pass for football games at Paulson Stadium. First year members will also be granted access to the library and computer labs, as well as weekend use of the RAC. Other benefits of being a first year member include: select hotel and car discounts and a 15% discount at the University Store.
A second year membership is a renewal of membership only, and requires a $60.00 donation to the Athletic Foundation. With a second year renewal, alumni get the privilege of purchasing football season tickets for $30 each. Second year members can also purchase season basketball and baseball tickets at a discounted rate.
In order to renew a membership for the third year, members are required to have been an active participant in years one and two. With a $90 donation, third year members have the opportunity to purchase up to four football season tickets for $45 each. Alumni who renew their membership for a third year may purchase football tickets in sections B or F. Third year members also receive the same benefits as year two with discounted season basketball and baseball tickets.
The donation deadline for second and third year membership is June 30, 2013.
After three years in the Young Alumni Program members receive their graduation, an invitation to join the Eagle Fund as full-fledged members.
