
Georgia Southern Remains in Sports Network Top 25

Top six teams unchanged as Eagles move to 22nd
Georgia Southern moved to 22nd in this week's poll with SoCon foe Samford checking in at 23rd as one of the four previously unranked teams to join the list. Youngstown State went to 18th after three weeks out of the poll and James Madison re-entering the rankings at 21st. Jacksonville State makes its first 2013 appearance in the Sports Network poll this week at 24th.
In its first year transitioning to FBS, the Eagles are being considered for weekly rankings and honors from the Sports Network, but are not eligible to be ranked in the weekly national coaches poll.
Georgia Southern honors all members of the Armed Forces this weekend with the Military Appreciation Day game on Saturday, October 12th with kickoff at 1 p.m. Fans can donate tickets to military personnel by contacting the Athletic Ticket Office at 1-800-GSU-WINS or by e-mail at tickets@GeorgiaSouthern.edu. Active and retired military personnel who present a military ID at the Gate 4 ticket window on game day will receive a free ticket. Discounted tickets for family members are also available.
