
Hammock Named FCS Video Coordinator of the Year

STATESBORO, Ga. - Georgia Southern Football staffer, Matthew Hammock, was named the 2011-2012 FCS Video Coordinator of the Year by the Collegiate Sports Video Association. Hammock was selected for this award by a vote of his peers within the FCS division. The award recognizes a video coordinator who displays excellent work and performance.
Matthew Hammock is in his sixth year at his alma mater Georgia Southern University and third as Video Coordinator for the Eagles Football program. He served as the Assistant Video Coordinator for the Eagles from 2008-2009 before being promoted to his current position in January 2010.
The award also makes Hammock a finalist for the Bob Matey National Video Coordinator of the Year award, which is presented to the Video Coordinator who displays innovation, determination, perseverance, and technical skill as portrayed by the late Bob Matey, legendary Video Coordinator from Texas A&M.
The Conference and National Video Coordinator of the Year Awards will be presented during the 18th annual Collegiate Sports Video Conference, May 14-17 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
