Golf Finishes First Two Rounds in Aiken

Aiken, S.C. - After the first day of the 15th Annual Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate, Georgia Southern sits in 16th place. The Eagles are plus 47 after two rounds, shooting a 607. South Carolina and Virginia are tied for first, after both teams shot a 570 on Monday, plus ten.
Ben Kohles of Virginia and Crawford Reeves of Clemson are tied for the individual lead, shooting 139 after the first two rounds.
Leading the way for Georgia Southern is junior Blake Olson (Pensacola, Fla.). Olson is tied for 46th after shooting 149, plus nine. Zach Hartman (St. Simons Island, Ga.) follows for Olson for the Eagles, tied for 65th. Hartman shot 152, plus 12 on the day. Rounding out the scoring for GSU is Lewis Gruber (Tallahassee, Fla.), Scott Wolfes (St. Simons Island, Ga.) and Charlie Martin (LaGrange, Ga.). Gruber is tied for 71st shooting 153, Wolfes tied for 80th shooting 155, and Martin is tied for 85 shooting 159 for the Eagles.
The final round of play will begin Tuesday morning at 9:30 a.m.
