Lightning Delay Can't Stop Eagles

Tallahassee, Fla. - A 90 minute lightning delay pushed the 33rd FSU Relays late into the night, but that didn't stop Georgia Southern track and field from having a great day. The Eagles set four personal records on Friday as they move on in the outdoor season.
Azura Robillard (Altamonte Springs, Fla.) set a new personal record in the Javelin Throw. A toss of 36.66 set her new PR, and placing ninth in the event. Jessica Moss (Vero Beach, Fla.) tossed a 31.61 to place 12th in the event as well.
Jasmine Billings (Lawrenceville, Ga.) and Taylor Wade (Loganville, Ga.) both set personal records in the 100 Meter Hurdles. Billings won first place setting her new personal record of 13.83 in the event. Wade ran a 14.84 to set her new personal record and placed 12th.
Alexis Jacobs (Columbia, S.C.) set a new personal record in the Hammer Throw, tossing a 38.58 to place 13th. Sara Hall (Columbia, Mo.) placed eighth in the event, throwing a 42.12.
In the Long Jump, Jasmine Walker (Fairburn, Ga.) placed seventh with a jump of 5.43, and Stephanie Hicks (Trenton, N.J.) placed tenth, jumping 5.43. Millicent Brooks-Millender (Douglasville, Ga.) placed 12th (5.29) and Brianna Charles (Lithonia, Ga.) placed 15th for the Eagles.
The 4x100 Meter Relay team of Jasmine Billings, Ebony Carter (Rome, Ga.), Cherrelle King (Elmont, N.Y.), and Jasmine Walker ran 47.04 to place fifth for GSU.
