High School Track & Field Meet
Saturday, March 10th, 2012
Meet Information:
One-day meet with Field and Running events beginning at 10:00 AM
Coaches’ meeting 9:00 AM
GHSA Sanctioned, open to GHSA Members and their Track and Field Athletes only
Facility: Georgia Southern University’s Eagle Field; Statesboro, GA. On the south end of campus lies our state-of-the-art track & field complex. Completed and dedicated in 2005, it is the official home of GSU’s Track & Field team: 400m, 8-lane Mondo. Features include: two multi-directional long jump pits; a multi-directional 100m and hurdles track, two pole vault runways; and a combination cage that encloses the hammer and discus rings, located adjacent to the shot put ring, that throws southeast.

Entries: $75 per Team; $150 combined Men's & Women's; or $15 Unattached
Up to 4 Athletes per event (4 Women; 4 Men)
Up to 2 Teams per relay (A Women’s, B Women’s; A Men’s, B Men’s)
Entries will be submitted electronically during last week of February (details coming)

Schedule of Events: Will NOT be rolling, times to be determined based on entries; order of events is attached
Event notes: Field Events – Prelims with 3 attempts, top 8 to finals for another 3 (except High Jump)
All Running Events are Finals, there will be no Prelims
Each Running Event Women will run first, followed by Men
High Jump Starting Height: TBD at Coaches’ meeting
Spikes: ¼ inch pyramid spikes only. No needles, pins, or christmas tree spikes will be allowed.
Must bring own throwing implements
Team Camp/Warm-up: Team Camps can be set up in the bleachers and/or infield of the track in the roped off area. No food will be allowed on the infield. Warm-ups can be done on the back stretch of the track, on the infield, or outside the facility
Outside Food/Beverage: Teams may bring their own food, but it must be kept in the stands, no food allowed in infield. NO GLASS.
Locker Rooms: There are locker rooms available for athletes
Awards: T-Shirts will be awarded to each event winner
