SoCon Tabs Deion Stanley Freshman of the Week

STATESBORO, Ga. - The Southern Conference selected redshirt freshman Deion Stanley as the league's Freshman of the Week for games played the week of August 29th. The Dry Pond, Ga., native tied for the Eagles' game high with 10 tackles in the season-opening victory over Samford.
Stanley recorded a team-high eight solo tackles and two assists in his first start at safety. He tied with free safety Derek Heyden (Atlanta, Ga.) for the team lead with 10 total tackles in the 31-17 conference-opening win.
